- Songwriter and Poet
Shadow reaches beyond the perimeters by infusing distinctive and riveting mixes of Hip-Hop, Spoken Word, and Jazz sounds.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Shadow migrated to Las Vegas and got his first big break by winning a rap battle that earned him a spot on V108 for eight weeks on the Saturday night show “Jigga Juice and Prince Paul”.
Shadow was heavily influenced by Rakim, Common, The Roots, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Sade, Lauryn Hill, and New Edition.
The song “To do it all again” was featured by P Cutta’s mix “The art of war 3”, which was hosted by Ghostface Killah. This is just a taste of what listeners will hear from Shadow’s introductory musical compilation.
